Closet Swap Encourages People to Share Their Wardrobes

Most of us probably have more than a few items in our closets that we'd like to toss, but Closet Swap, a new project launched by UK's Channel 4 Education and Inensu, encourages you to swap your unwanted wardrobe pieces with your Facebook friends.

The Closet Swap project is both a site and an app, and to use it, you just have to sign into the app using your Facebook account information and upload pics of your clothes, which get added to a "virtual closet." After you invite your online friends to upload their goods, you can start trading your clothes. The whole point of the project is to encourage people to swap, not shop, which will help everyone involved save money and reduce disposable fashion.

In addition to the trading application, Closet Swap also provides information on local vintage stores and markets, as well as an online magazine that offers articles on sustainable fashion. Stats for Fashion-Trading Sites Trending: Older & Average
