Poutine is a classic Canadian dish that is often enjoyed as an entree or a hearty snack. However, chef Callie Speer created a gourmet poutine dish for hungry customers to enjoy in the early hours of the morning.

Traditional poutine is composed of French fries, gravy and creamy cheese curds. Speer gives the classic Canadian dish a Texas-style makeover by adding goat meat, Tabasco sauce and a fried egg. The combination of french fries and a fried egg make the dish taste similar to a classic diner-style breakfast. Moreover, the addition of goat meat offers a luxurious alternative to traditional bacon and sausages.

Although the dish may seem extravagant, the hearty breakfast poutine is an excellent alternative for those who have grown tired of basic bacon and eggs.
