At the 2016 Met Gala, Clair Danes' Met Gala ensemble stole the show. The theme of this year's gala was 'Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,' and Danes arrived in style looking like a modern-day Cinderella in a powder blue gown by Zac Posen that was not only stunning, but high-tech. The gown was outfitted with 30 sewn-in miniature battery packs, which were used to power the custom fiber optics that lit up the gown in the dark.

During the Gala, Danes and her outfit were quick to create tons of interest on social media.

Other standout looks from the Met Gala included Emma Watson's black-and-white Calvin Klein gown made from recycled plastic bottles and the nude pearl-embroidered latex dress by Givenchy Haute Couture that was sported by Beyoncé.
