Christopher Craig Designs Experimental Scripts To Reflect Their Meaning

By: Alyson Wyers - Published: • References: dribbble & designtaxi
Designed by Christopher Craig, these beautifully simplistic examples of hand lettering literally display the words they spell out. The experimental script series consists of cleverly created lettered quotes and words which reflect their very meaning. From the word 'backwards' printed backwards or the simply drawn 'minimal,' Christopher Craig's work is truly impressive. Even the word 'twisted' is partially flipped, making brilliant use of inversion. Other examples include tiny, shadow, parallel, misplaced, mirage, floral and distorted.

Currently based out of Akron, Ohio, the graphic designer specializes in hand lettering. With a background in engineering, he believes his previous studies influence his "clean and functional style" and passion for art and design. Other less literal hand-lettered interpretations can be found on the artist's website. Stats for Literal Hand Lettering Trending: This Quarter & Mild
