After launching an iPhone compatible website a while back, French fashion house Chloé have released an iPhone case made from a specially treated Python with a unique metallic look and feel . The case comes with a wrist strap and a clip which allows it to be clipped to almost anything. The case is available in Chloé stores in countries where the iPhone is sold.
Implications - Consumers no longer only factor in functionality when making purchases, they're also conscious of a product's aesthetic flair. This is due in large part to social conditioning whereby North Americans are expected to be individualistic. Corporations who can offer exclusive products will thus be able to charge larger premiums for items in comparison to their more readily available competitors.
