These deep fried corn dog carnival treats receive a fall makeover with the inclusion of pumpkin and a decadent maple mustard dipping sauce. These treats are ideal to serve at functions and get togethers during the autumnal months thanks to the focus on fall flavors.

The corn dogs are made from little sausages such as Lit'l Smokies that are topped in a batter made from pumpkin puree and corn muffin mix before being deep fried. Thanks to the small size of these corn dogs, the pretzel chip handle perfectly holds up the appetizer and can conveniently be eaten as well. The corn dogs are served with a homemade maple mustard dip that contrasts the sweetness of the pumpkin puree batter, the smokiness of the sausages and the richness of the corn meal.
