Cabela's Camouflage Gear Changes Color to Match Its Surroundings

Camouflage gear is only useful as camouflage gear when it’s the same color as its surroundings, but this isn’t a problem with Cabela’s ColorPhase camo.

This unique camo is made with temperature-sensitive dyes that change colors with the seasons. In the fall, the camo is dull and brownish like the leaves and when it turns into spring, the camo becomes just as green as the grass and flowers popping up.

Beyond just being practical for applications like recreational hunting gear, this incredible chameleon-like camo could have huge implications for the uniforms and gear used by soldiers, since they would never have to worry about choosing the right kind of camo to match the weather of a particular season ever again.
