It's been a while since I've seen any design chairs, so it was extremely refreshing to see the Butterfly Chair designed by Laurie Beckerman. The seat has that delicate and even heavenly quality that makes it incredibly attractive to look at.

As its name suggests, the Butterfly Chair was inspired by the insect. Even though it may not look like it, there are aspects in the design that proves this is the case. The round shape slightly resembles the physicality of the insect due to its circular nature from the flapping of its wings. The back support has been molded to look like wings so if you view the seat from the front, it gives the illusion of flight.

The transparency of the design and the unique concept make the Butterfly Chair truly one of a kind. Stats for Wing-Inspired Seats Trending: Older & Chilly
