Broadway show talk-backs used to be reserved for a special preview, opening night, or a patron appreciation evening. Now, however, Broadway talk-backs are becoming the new way to entice audiences to come see the show. Profits everywhere are down, and Broadway is no exception. Broadway talk-backs (which feature actors, directors, producers and professionals) are just one of many tactics being employed to hopefully up revenue. If the inner workings of theater are of interest to you, head to a show now and take advantage of these Broadway talk-backs.  Take the new production of David Mamet’s play “Oleanna,” which opens on Sunday. Producers have taken the unusual step of not only holding talk-backs every night during preview performances, but also recruiting criminal defense lawyers, professional mediators and even former Mayor David N. Dinkins to lead audience discussions about the play’s subject matter.
