Customers of Poland’s Bank Pocztowy can now apply for the country's first biometric debit card, which gives them the power to authenticate contactless payments using their own fingerprint. The next-gen debit card is a limited-edition one and it gives users the capacity to store a two-finger biometric pattern, as well as increase or lower the payment limit on the card and set their own PIN.
This personalized, highly secure card saves the biometric fingerprint template on the payment card itself and not in the reader or systems from the bank.
