Dogfish Head has proceeded with the launch of the 2023 edition of its venerable '120 Minute IPA,' an imperial IPA that is aged in barrels of Samuel Adams Utopias in order to create an exceptionally bold and flavorful beer.
This particular imperial IPA is crafted through continuous hopping with top-notch American hops, a process that is then followed up with dry-hopping for a brew that is absolutely hop-laden before then being aged in recently emptied barrels. The end result is a beer with a deep copper hue and a slight haze, with a flavor profule that is unsurprisingly hoppy and an aroma profile that combines arboreal notes with floral hops cents.
Coming in at 17 percent ABV, the 'Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute' is well and truly designed for the ardent hop enthusiast.
