Isabel Marant has unexpectedly teamed floaty mini dresses with slouchy chain accented boots in her collection for Spring 2009. The contrast between the weightless frocks and the bulky, but trendy footwear make each stand out in its own glory, and yet merge into a surprisingly harmonized look. Ultra-summery dresses with frills, lace and tiny shoulder straps look light as air in pale blue, olive and off-white. The footwear, which reminds one of the suede boots of the eighties, has been updated with metal chain details.
