Ayana Bio, a bioactive discovery and production firm, has announced the new lemon balm and echinacea substance made for food supplement applications. Ayana Bio claims that it has developed non-GMO plant powders to address the problems with echinacea and lemon balm supplies resulting from agricultural production.
Through a plant cell cultivation process, Ayana Bio hopes to produce plant materials without growing and caring for an actual plant. Ayana Bio can manufacture the same plant biomass by giving these cells fuel sources, oxygen, vitamins, and minerals. The plant cell can be collected as a component for health and wellness products after a few weeks when it has completely propagated.
“Imagine a world where a plant like echinacea, which takes about three years to mature in the ground, could be ready for use in a couple of weeks with plant cell cultivation.
