Popular toy company Ty Inc. is set to release a 'Cecil the Lion Beanie Baby,' which will help raise awareness for wildlife conservation, as well as funds for the University of Oxford's 'Wildlife Conservation Research Unit.' With the recent controversy surrounding the death of Cecil the lion, this new plush toy helps to bring greater awareness about the issue of illegal poaching.

The Cecil Beanie is set to be released this September and 100 percent of the toy's sales will go to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit. Beyond funding, the adorable plush toy also serves as a reminder about the importance of wildlife conservation. As Ty Inc. founder Ty Warner explains, "This special Beanie Baby will raise awareness for animal conservation and give comfort to all saddened by the loss of Cecil."
