Asshole Parents might seem like a harsh title at first, but it's immediately clear that the Instagram account is poking fun at the idea behind such a term. After all, the trials and tribulations of raising another human being results in a slew of universal experiences every parent can sympathize with. The Asshole Parents Instagram account creates a safe place for people to share these experiences and get a good laugh out of them.

From stopping children from playing with power tools to telling them they can't drive the car or have to go to the washroom first before heading on Disneyland roller coasters, there are a slew of ways in which 'Asshole Parents' are born. The website writes, "It’s a universal experience: having a small child be disappointed in something completely illogical. Despite our best efforts, children are often frustrated. Sometimes they think we’re awful, when we’re really just being parents. May this be a humorous reminder that we’re all in this together."
