The April Flores Toy Show is an Exhibition of Casts

In June 2009, La Luz de Jesus gallery in Los Angeles hosted an exhibition in which the common thread between the pieces was the basic canvas for all the piece being a plastic molded vagina based upon the anatomy of the BBW model April Flores.

The similarities ended here with the artists interpretations ranging far and wide from this original starting point. Some artists chose to ignore the very obvious directions that might be taken, using the vagina as an object to be painted, while other made great use of the media. The piece by artist Coop (image 3) entitled Fountain makes reference to the Marcel Duchamp piece of the same name.
