Egyptologist Sally Ann Ashton created what she believes is the closest likeness to Cleopatra, according to the UK’s Daily Mail. She achieved the results you see in the gallery here using 3D image technology.

Whether Cleopatra was beautiful or not has been a hotly contested issue for a very long time.   However, if Ashton’s facial reconstruction of Cleopatra is correct, the argument can be put to rest. Would you agree? After all, the Egyptian Queen looks absolutely beautiful in her 3D image portrait.

Pieced together from images on ancient artifacts, including a ring dating from Cleopatra's reign 2,000 years ago, it is the culmination of more than a year of painstaking research. (mailonsunday)

I agree! Until newer technology can 'debunk' these new images, I'll remain hopeful that they've finally shown what Cleopatra looked like - or at least close. :-)
