Los Angeles-based painter and artist Amy Bessone makes breathtaking art that you have to stop and think about. These are paintings that make you consider their inspiration and underlying statement.
Amy Bessone is not afraid to explore controversy through her art. What do you think about the masculinized Maleficent in the first image, or the super-sensual snake-wrangling woman in the second? See more of Amy Bessone's work at the links provided.
Implications - My favorite aspect of these Amy Bessone illustrations is the fact that, with what appears to be limited brush strokes, Bessone is able to emulate light and texture on the faces, bodies, and clothes of each of his subjects.
