Cleaning one's toilet isn't exactly a desirable household chore, so the American Standard ActiClean toilet has been designed to virtually eliminate that task altogether. The toilet comprises a self-cleaning system that promises as little effort as in-the-bowl or in-the-tank cleaners, while giving a more thorough clean thanks to its cleanliness-focused design features.

The majority of the technical aspects of the American Standard ActiClean are contained within the tank, hidden away from sight. Powered by nothing more than four AA batteries, the tank will automatically mix ActiClean cleaning fluid (contained in the tank in a cartridge) with water and send it through the bowl. There are two cleaning options: a minute-long Quick Clean and a 10-minute Deep Clean. Cartridges last approximately 9 weeks each, based on usage of one Quick and Deep Clean per week.
