The 2880 x 900 resolution screen is meant to capture your field of peripheral vision on the Alienware mega monitor. The screen wraps around, letting viewers feel totally immersed.

It was revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas at the Pepcom Digital Experience event.

The price has not yet been announced on this .2 millisecond response time monster monitor, but the series gamer would probably save up all their cash until they could afford to shell out for it.

Check out the video!

The device is in prototype form and won't be available until late 2008 at the earliest: the sample on display at Pepcom was a little washed-out, with overlap between projection areas causing odd vertical bars to appear on-screen. That said, it was still a stunning example of balls-out gamer extravagance. (blog.wired)

reminds me of the USS Enterprise bridge NCC 1701. TV show Enterprise. Too heavy to move & install. Wow. Great for X Box games. Nice for Hotels & resorts.
