Datamoshing has finally transgressed into high fashion with the Alexander McQueen A/W 2012 Campaign Film.
Directed by David Sims, the campaign features a rave-like soundtrack and the ultra modern visuals. The use of 'Glitch Art' makes for a truly visually rich take on the collection. This aestheticization of digital 'errors' makes for an absolutely avant-garde feel that is vastly different from McQueen's signature dark artistic look.
Model Suvi Koponen is portrayed in the Fall collection that features a metallic eye mask, a fur shaggy puff coat and a voluminous skirt accented with a bold floral belt.
The campaign video certainly rings true to Sarah Burton's vision for the collection of lightness in futuristic attire. With the stunning visuals and garments in this collection, it is truly moving to see that Burton conserves the late McQueen's genius ideas.
