Technology is slowly moving away from touchscreen features to face-scanning innovations. This transition will make interactions with devices quicker and more convenient. Additionally, the more sophisticated such face-scanning innovations become, the more specific certain commands can be in order to truly make it a feasible alternative to touchscreen technology.

In another vein, these face-scanning innovations make it possible to screen people and their reactions on a very fundamental level. Companies can better gauge people's reaction to a product, service or experience using this technology. Experiences themselves can be enhanced as people's surroundings begin to reflect their emotional state as well as their identity in general. Granted, these face-scanning innovations are not on the level of of the hit movie 'Minority Report' just yet. But they are paving the way for such uses.
