One great thing about being a hip Californian hotel is having friends in all the right places. Tokyo-born Lady Aiko stayed at The Standard Hollywood as an artist in residence and pimped out the stairwell to the guest rooms.

The walls were adorned with Lady Aiko's famed feminine street art and naughty cartoons. Her work for The Standard is a fun mix of cat-faced pin-ups, pandas and flower power galore.
