MacFries Pedestrian Crossing Prompts Festival-goers to Dine at McDonald's

To thwart competition from street-stall food vendors during Switzerland's Zurifest, a MacFries pedestrian crossing was painted in front of a nearby McDonald's restaurant.

The MacFries pedestrian crossing was possible because regular crosswalk rules were suspended during the festival. The giant street surface painting of a serving of fries helped to drive the festival's foot traffic to the golden arches of McDonald's for a bite to eat instead of to food vendors on the street.

Implications - This humor-infused ad campaign from agency TBWA Switzerland will definitely make a hungry pedestrian stop in their tracks. With the hilarious Michael Kathe behind copywriting and creative directing for the clever campaign, the last of MacFries is surely no where near.
