Nastya Nudnik created a series called 'Emoji-nation' in which she incorporates computer elements from modern life into classic artworks. It's popular nowadays to express our feelings using little Emoji's; the little faces can express if we're happy, sad, bored, sick, tired and the list goes on. Nudnik integrated those Emoji's into classic works of art.
Nudnik said, "I adore playing on contrasts and try to put dualism in every work," the contrast is quite apparent in this series. A Edward Hopper's Sunday is modernized with an Instagram-like zero followers symbol. Whereas Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam is modernized by a pop-up error like you'd see on a computer screen displaying the words "Fatal Error - Disconnected." The integration of modern elements from the Internet like Emojis and error screens makes these classic works of art easier for younger generations to understand and relate to.
