An ordinary scrapyard in the Shandong province of Eastern China has become a cinematic-influenced tourist attraction, home to gigantic Transformer statues.
The workers of the scrapyard decided to get a little creative and make use of all the metal scraps laying around. The result? More than 20 life-sized replica Transformers statues, captivating the interest of many tourists and Transformers series enthusiasts alike. Located on top of a hill, the site of these gigantic robots is certainly arresting.
Li Hung was the first to put actions to words with this alluring idea, saying “I thought if people could see something spectacular made from junk, it would highlight what we do here and we could get more customers,” offering a mere glimpse of the creativity that lies within the depths of this country.
The biggest statue constructed stands at over 60 meters in height and weighs more than 5 tons, giving tourists the real-life experience of the renowned robotic figures we know as Transformers.
