A recent home construction project of a Transformers-inspired Optimus Prime chicken coop has gone viral. The homemade mobile chicken coop was made by Tez and is made to look similar to the popular Transformers character Optimus Prime (in its truck mode) and it can house a few small baby chicks.
Made from a combination of Marine Plywood, a galvanized SHS cage, PVC pipes and some coats of paint, it makes for a rather compelling chicken coop. The interesting part is that the two PVC pipes also act as a feeder that leads into the cage area. The top of the truck also opens up so you easily access the baby chicks.
The miniature ramp inside the cage that leads into the front compartment of the truck has to be the best feature of the Optimus Prime chicken coop.
