Artistic duo Sam Bompas, and Harry Parr got celebrity chef Gizzi Erskine to swallow a PillCam for their latest photography series 'Journey to the Center of the Gut.' No longer are the days of istagramming pictures of your dinner on its plate -- instead, you'll be posting pictures of your dinner in your belly. This new type of "food porn" takes an intimate approach to human consumption.
The minuscule camera, usually used for endoscopies, filmed Erskine’s insides as it passed through her digestive tract. (There was a live audience of hundreds to witness the footage.) Throughout the process she ate jelly beans and the audience was in awe to see them moving about before the camera. Leave it to Bompas and Parr to make what is usually a gruesome sight into a delightful work of art.
These images, are raw, soft and somewhat resemble something you would see in space. One image is even comparable to looking at the moon through a telescope.
