Seen here are the first shots of the upcoming TomTom sports watch. The GPS company is releasing its own line of athletic watches after previously working with Nike to create the Nike+ line of fitness watches. The company is touting its new line of watches as ultra-slim and easy to use. The watches are controlled via one very large button which TomTom says can be operated by a gloved hand.
The TomTom sports watch comes in two versions: Runner and Multi-Sport. Surprisingly, Runner is meant to be used by runners and QuickGPSFix technology to track every aspect of your run, including your speed, distance and time. The Multi-Sport has the same features of the runner but can also track laps in the pool and comes with a bike mount. The company is mum with regard to a release date and pricing for its new watches, but they have opened a notification mailing list for those interested.
