The US golf fans have become known as a noisy bunch over the year's.
So for this Ryder Cup they are being kept quiet with specially created golfing gobstoppers. Betfair, the British betting exchange, is flying over to the Chicago course to give out more than a thousand of the giant sweets.
Food technicians were brought on-board to create the golfing gobstoppers which contain over 15 layers of sugar - tasting of fruity flavours. The gobstoppers are 45mm in diameter - more than 10mm bigger than the average jawbreaker (as they are also known).
The golfing gobstoppers have been created off the back of the US team captain coining the crowd his "13th man" and warning Team Europe of loud chants of "get in the hole".
