The PRISMA 1666 art installation is the work of Super Nature Design and Wonwei. The geometric sculptural piece is inspired by the experiments of Sir Isaac Newton, conducted in year 1666.
From its focus on chromatic rainbow hues to its geometry inspired shape, this optically intriguing light installation features striking modulations.
Shanghai-based Super Nature Design studio works in collaboration with Hong Kong-based Wonwei studio that features a glass prism element that reflects light to reveal a full color spectrum.
The PRISMA 1666 features 15 triangular blocks placed atop a white surface that reflects a variety of projected shapes and forms displayed in color-changing bursts of light that can be controlled by viewers with the click of a remote button.
