A fun and original take on the idea of a 'car wash,' a French art collective known as Generik Vapeur has somehow managed to suspend seven full-sized cars on a line with the use of enlarged clothespins. Of course, there is more to the mechanics of holding each heavy vehicle up in addition to the hilariously giant pins, nevertheless the illusion created is pretty convincing.
Generik Vapeur put together this art installation for an international arts festival in Munster, Germany, called Flurstücke 011. Although the dark clouds in the backdrop would have people running out to take in their drying clothes, these cars can probably withstand a bit of water. Generik Vapeur painted each car in vibrant colors, which gives the art installation even moe visual interest as though people were looking at a rainbow.
