Creative mosaic extraordinaire and multi-talented artist Jason Mecier recreates figures of famous faces out of garbage that he collects. From Barack Obama to Tina Fey and Lady Gaga, Mecier collects beans, noodles, yarn, felt, and anything else he finds and turns them into uncanny resemblances of popular celebrities.
There is no studio retouching or anything of the sort involved in the work that Jason Mecier does, making it that much more impressive. The resemblances between the artwork and the A-list celebrities and public figures is incredible and undeniable.
Mecier says that each work takes about 50 hours, but some take much longer. The Lady Gaga portrait, for example, took two months and hundreds of hours to create.
