The ever-present maxi dress for the summer season finds its way into the following season as seen in the Dolce & Gabbana AW 2011 collection. The killer wardrobe filled with flowing dresses and structured suit jackets strutted down the runway looking playful and fun-spirited. The haute couture brand, known for its contemporary, luxurious and unconventional style, did not fall short on attention grabbing silhouettes.
Sequins played heavily into the designs seen on the runway, such as the shiny sequined pants, dresses and purse accessories. A black and white star pattern was also used throughout the Dolce & Gabbana AW 2011 collection, printed on leggings, girly dresses and even used on large dangling earrings. Lace details, clunky shoes and retro-inspired sunglasses add to the 80s feel of this latest fashion release.
