What is unique that's not in your bio?
I have a strong sense of intuition and mix dreams with reality as they influence one another. I love my job and mainly discovering new ways of producing digital stories. How users react and interact with online applications fascinate me. I love abstract photography, art and surprisingly enough, reality television.
What's your favorite accomplishment?
Winning a Gemini Award in 2011 for Storming Juno Interactive: www.stormingjuno.com
How do you define cool?
Being cool makes you stand out from others. What's cool to me are things that only few of us can understand and appreciate. Cool is original, beautiful, mysterious, and its depth holds many layers.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
The secret to uncovering cool is being aware. Aware of human interactions, behaviors, and emotions. Studying those elements will help you predict a trends before they become a reality. You need to keep studying, reading, listening and watching ,because trends have short life spans. The most challenging way to uncover trends is by starting them your self.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
I enjoy the variety of topics and trends. I like the sense of community it brings, as trend hunters get rewarded for their work, in cash value through ad revenue and exposure on the site on the community page, and now on THTV.
What is your favorite trend?
My favourite trend is Architectural Romance Photography.
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
Keep it original, insightful, personal, and interesting to read.
How do you reset to be creative?
I like to watch a lot of video before I start searching for trends. I usually watch tv shows like The Office, or go on the Top Ten Video Chart to watch the top viral videos of the day, they usually inspire me. I like to be in a happy zone before I go on trend hunter.
What inspires or excites you?
great tv ads and abstract photography.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
The internet becomes one with Cinema.
