I am currently a student at the good ol' University of Western Ontario (recently dubbed Western University) specializing in Media and the Public Interest (MPI) in the Faculty of Media, Information and Technoloculture . I have long held the belief and often convinced myself I should have been born in the 80's and my life should be directed by John Hughes. I love to read, write and run - in a perfect world preferably all at the same time.

What is unique that's not in your bio?
My mother has dubbed me a flexitarian (sans beef/pork/lamb).
What's your favorite accomplishment?
Being personally contacted by the owner/founder a company whose product I wrote about on TrendHunter.com (he also sent me some sweet products). Also, My extensive knowledge of Bruce Springsteen - some say stalker I say devoted fan. Potato Potatoe...
How do you define cool?
Something that's not hot... :) it's something you cannot wait to tell everyone about, that you race to write about before someone else covers it and it's gotta be quirky.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
I don't know if it's really a secret. I say ALWAYS be on the look out for things you find interesting (if you find it interesting to write about it usually follows people will find it interesting to read). Search the vastness of the Internet (blogs are your friend) - I'm talking multiple browsers, tabs and yes uhm even computers.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
EVERYTHING. I love reading the trends, seeing the personalities of each writer in their work and the "community" support that Trend Hunters supply to one another. yay teamwork! I also love that color of red in the office.
What is your favorite trend?
My favorite trend... Musical Mythological Creatures The Serenading Unicorn Professes His Love to Sarah Silverman A unicorn jamming out a love ballad, enough said.
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
Enjoy what your writing about, it shows it in the finished product. Also insert humor where appropriate.
How do you reset to be creative?
peppermint tea + impromptu dancing
What inspires or excites you?
The perseverance and heart of people who overcome great obstacles. and peanut and chocolate combinations.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
Mandatory mid-day dance parties in work environments. Dance, Dance, Dance, Da-Da-Dance.
