Zhanf Quan's Melting Sadness Joins adidas On a Special Pack
Chinese artist Zhang Quan has a brand entitled Melting Sadness and it recently worked in collaboration with adidas Originals on a special collection of sneakers. The designs have been circulating on social media for some time and now it meets an official launch date.
The shoes are rooted in silhouettes such as the Superstars and the Pro Model by the sportswear label. These are heavily decorated with dramatic looks that embody a cartoon-like aesthetic. There are three Superstar sneakers and one Pro Model. The Pro Model is designed with inspiration drawn from a giraffe and the standout Superstar is the orange iteration. It has a bright tonal splodge over the tongue to look like it is spilling over.
