Zeekr Teamed up with CATL to Create a Zeekr 001 with 1,000km Range

'Zeekr,' the electrified brand operating under 'Geely,' announced that it is creating a special production version of its 'Zeekr 001' electric car through a partnership with 'CATL.' CATL is a China-based electric battery manufacturer that actively works with high-profile automakers such as Tesla.

According to Zeekr, the new 001 will boast an industry-leading range of 1,000km per charge, and the ability to fast charge in just 10 minutes under the proper conditions. This places the touring efficiency of the Zeekr above that of even efficient ICE-powered vehicles.

CATL stated that it will use its 'Qilin' battery pack with a liquid-cooled system to deliver unparalleled efficiency, specifically noting that the batteries achieve more than 13% more power per gram than Tesla's new 4680 battery packs.
