The ownership of a boat in itself is a definite indicator of status. Now just imagine yourself as the proud possessor of the Z Boat by Zaha Hadid and how powerful you must therefore be.

It's rare for a person to gain the attention of the Pritzker Prize winning architect, and even more so to have her design you your very own bespoke motorboat. The affluent Kenny Schachter is, however, getting this futuristic watercraft by the end of 2013.

At 7.5 meters in length, this extravagant vessel can accommodate eight people and impress them with its 1x220 HP Mercruiser on-board motor. But where the Z Boat by Zaha Hadid will really seduce is in the sculptural treatment to its bard body. Seemingly assembled from irregularly shaped flat panels, it comes together into awe-inspiring asymmetries that abstractly complement the ocean waves.
