Y-3 is changing the dress shoe game with the Y-3 Dress Lace. The Y-3 Dress Lace is a dress shoe unlike any other, made up of a combination of raw denim and perforated leather.
Yeah, I said perforated leather. The perforated upper panel and toebox combined with the denim middle panel give Y-3's new design a look quite uncommon for a dress shoe. The underside of this shoe is comprised of rubber and leather and features a TPU TORSION® Bar for added stability.
Experimentation like this is typical in the sneaker game, but rarely do designers step so far out of the box when creating formal footwear. The Y-3 Dress Lace was designed for Y-3's Spring/Summer 2011 collection and sells for $390.
