The base silhouette for the X-Men footwear is the ASICS GEL-LYTE III sneaker. The mutants whose aesthetic is represented within this collection include Beast, Cyclops, Gambit, Rogue, Storm, and Wolverine.
Each ASICS GEL-LYTE III model features a "traditional leather formstripe and divided tongue concepts." KITH and ASICS played around with the fabrication options and colorways of the pieces in order to pay homage to the individual characters—from the Beast sneakers which boast a hairy suede upper in blue to a combination of green and yellow to symbolize Roogue's uniform.
