The console is positioned as far more compact than the Series X alternative and is reported to offer support for 120fps gameplay at 1,440p resolution, while also delivering 4K upscaling for games. Users can also take advantage of 4K media playback and even support for DirectX raytracing.
The Xbox Series S video game console will have 512GB of storage and is positioned as a lower cost alternative to the Xbox Series X at a price point of $299 versus $499. Both consoles are expected to launch on November 10.
