The conceptual 'Xbox Cloud' controllers have been designed by Sarang Sheth as a mobile gaming solution for consumers who are looking to immerse themselves further in gameplay when out of the house.
Based on patent designs filed by Microsoft, the controllers work by being clipped onto the top and bottom of a smartphone to instantly transform the device into a handheld console. Both halves of the controllers connect to the smartphone via WiFi to ensure that the gaming experience is as seamless and lag-free as possible.
The conceptual 'Xbox Cloud' controllers feature their own independent batteries that can also be swapped out when they require recharging to let gamers play for extended periods with minimal downtime. This addresses the needs of busy consumers who have little time available for at-home gaming sessions and who want to turn out-of-the-house downtime into an entertaining experience.
