Inclusive Esports Tournaments

Xbox and Special Olympics Will Host the 'Gaming for Inclusion' Event

In partnership with Xbox and Special Olympics, the Gaming for Inclusion event will hold its second annual tournament on September 10 and 17. The Special Olympics and Microsoft have worked together on Gaming for Inclusion since 2018, aiming to create opportunities for individuals to connect with others on a greater scale.

Gaming for Inclusion strives to dissolve barriers by organizing tournaments where one Special Olympics athlete and one celebrity, such as a WWE wrestler or social media star, team up to compete together. This not only gives people with learning impairments a platform to compete, connect, and learn, but it also fosters long-term relationships between the individual and their teammates.

The main bracket of the second annual Gaming for Inclusion event will begin on Saturday, September 10, while the Unified league featuring celebrity guests will begin on September 17.
