Portable SSDs are starting to gain popularity in the consumer market and the My Passport Wireless SSD Drive is stepping up the appeal with a host of amazing features. The new wireless SSD comes from Western Digital and allows users to easily backup files, photos and videos without the need to connect to a PC. The Wireless SSD Drive is capable of this thanks to its self created 802.11ac WiFi connection and its built in SD card reader.
The My Passport Wireless SSD Drive appears to be a purpose built device with a focus on adventure. The built-in bumper ensures the device against mild drop damage and keeps the device in a healthy state regardless of its endeavors. Internally speaking, the Wireless SSD Drive features a built in battery, a built in power bank, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and is available in storage space ranging from 250 GB up to 2 TB.
