Minimal Eco-Friendly Sportswear Collections

PUMA teamed up with WIND AND SEA

In furthering the brand's efforts in achieving greater sustainability, German sportswear giant PUMA has teamed up with a Japanese brand WIND AND SEA to launch an environmentally friendly collection. The line, which features a variety of minimalistic hoodies, tees and shorts, is made from organic and unbleached textile materials.

The elimination of any chemical dyes and bleach during the manufacturing process significantly reduces water and energy consumption, and thus helps companies such as PUMA mitigate their negative impact on the environment. "Our times require us to rethink not only what to create but also how we create", commented Romain Girard, Head of Innovation at PUMA.

The PUMA x WIND AND SEA collection has been inspired by "retro utilitarianism and space" and consists of minimalist separates, such as T-shirts, long-sleeve tops, and shorts, along with footwear. All items are co-branded, with both logos printed in a special reflective ink. As for footwear, the signature Ralph Sampson sneakers got a makeover in off-white suede, with the WIND AND SEA logo stitched on the tongue.

The collab launched online on 25th July on PUMA's Japanese website, and completely sold out within hours.
