Typified, a startup based in the Australian city of Melbourne, has gone ahead and unveiled an innovative and high-tech weather poster that is capable of changing its color depending on weather conditions expected in the forecast.
The Typified Weather Poster is crafted out of thick paper and is attached atop a plastic plate that's infused with an array of electronics. The poster displays weather symbols using smart ink that is sensitive to heat. The way it works is that the plastic plate heats up or cools down depending on weather forecasts received via the Internet, with the appropriate weather symbol changing its color to stand out on the blue background.
Currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, the Typified Weather Poster is a fine example of smart ink applications to tech-infused decor.
