Walmart is Taking Social Media Seriously with 'Walmart Creator'

Walmart has debuted a new online platform called the ‘Walmart Creator,’ a space where content creators can make commissions on Walmart products linked on their social media sites. Walmart Creator uses performance data and product recommendations based on the user’s apparent interests. Interested creators can apply for beta access ahead of Walmart Creator’s 2023 launch date for the chance to be a part of the brand’s upcoming campaigns. The Walmart brand continues to invest in social commerce by bolstering its social media presence and making efforts to engage with social media influencers.

William White, chief marketing officer at Walmart U.S., said in a statement: “This next step in our strategy will help fuel inspiration for our customers by connecting their favorite creators directly with our brand and the brands they love at Walmart.”
