The wall robot sucks, so you know its good. Specifically, the six wheeled robot uses patented "tornado in a cup" vacuum technology to suck itself onto walls and even ceilings. It can operate autonomously or by remote control. It also transmits video using bluetooth technology.
Implications - VRAM Mobile Robot Platforms, or VMRPs, are vehicles that can do what a human-driven vehicle simply cannot. This wall-climbing robot is a perfect example and is ultimately a transition piece for larger, more amazing inventions. These are most useful for law enforcement, bomb squads, toys, and military use; however, there are hopes for using VRAM Mobile Robot Platforms for regular mobility in the future.
