The VVB Fall 2018 collection draws a strong influence from the works of contemporary artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and David Hockney. The Victoria Victoria Beckham capsule also shows accents of some Andy Warhol works as well. The designer has a deep admiration for contemporary art and has always been inspired by it. She translates the influence through details such as a repeating pattern of blurry Polaroid photos captured by Basquiat.
The VVB Fall 2018 collection has a color palette that reflects both Basquiat and Hockney, with cornflower blue and burgundy as its prominent shades. There is a selection of long corn-colored coats with front zipper details and large pockets, motorcycle jackets, and leather tops and dresses. The VVB pieces this season embody a lot of textural contrasts as well such as knit sweaters on gold pleated skirts.
